Love God and Neighbor

Jesus summarizes the law in love for God and neighbor. Then he gives his disciples a new measure: love as he loved.

Two commands to keep

Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

7-day outline

Days 1-2: love God. Memorize heart, soul, and mind as three doors of offering.

Days 3-4: love your neighbor. Connect the verse to one specific person.

Days 5-6: as Christ loved. Add John 13:34 and notice the measure Jesus gives.

Day 7: recitation and deliberate practice.
