Promise and announcement
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
12-day outline
Days 1-3: “unto us a child is born.” Memorize the promise as an announcement of gift.
Days 4-6: the names of the Messiah. Repeat each title separately: Counsellor, mighty God, everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Days 7-9: Luke 2:11. Work the precision: this day, city of David, Savior.
Days 10-12: promise and fulfillment. Recite Isaiah and then Luke as one movement.
