QPUC is AgapePlay’s live multiplayer Bible mode. Two to four players face off in real time on timed questions drawn from Scripture — whoever buzzes fastest answers first, gets the point, and moves closer to the finals.
It’s the only French-language Bible app with a true live-buzzer multiplayer mode, running right in the mobile browser with no extra hardware or setup.
How it works
- Pick Quick match (public matchmaking — finds you 3 opponents in under 30 seconds) or Private match with an invite code.
- Once the lobby fills, a 3-2-1 countdown launches the first question.
- The first player to buzz gets 3 seconds to answer. Correct = point. Wrong = they’re out for this question, buzzer reopens.
- After qualification rounds, the top 2 face off in a final elimination round.
All synchronization is server-side via Supabase Realtime, with per-client clock offset calibration so no one has a ping advantage.
Who it’s for
- Youth groups looking for a spiritual activity that doesn’t feel like Sunday school
- Cell group evenings — 20 minutes, no projector needed
- Camps and retreats — rotating evening activity in small groups
- Families with teens — competition-based engagement where exhortation fails
Why QPUC is unique
Other Bible apps (YouVersion, Bible Memory, Scripture Typer) are solo-only. To play with others, you have to leave the app and improvise a Kahoot or go back to a paper Bible. QPUC brings the social dimension inside your memorization tool — the verses you study in the morning become the playing field with your friends at night.
The real-time dimension also shifts the tension: instead of answering quietly alone, you have to react on the buzzer. That pressure activates memory differently and anchors verses more deeply than a solo session.
Free and premium
Free users get 3 QPUC matches per week (reset every Monday UTC). The Disciple plan (€4.99/month) unlocks unlimited play.
FAQ
Does my friend need to be subscribed to play? No. You can create a private match and invite unsubscribed friends — as long as each has their weekly quota, the match works.
What happens if someone quits mid-match? The server detects the abandon event and redistributes points. The match continues with remaining players.
Can I play offline? No. QPUC is real-time and requires a connection. For offline memorization, use standard solo sessions — they’re fully offline.
